Glen Selbo won ten varsity letters at Logan High School in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Selbo played four years a college varisty basketball, his freshman and senior years at the University of Wisconsin and his sophmore and junior years at the University of Michigan. In his senior year at Wisconsin, Selbo was named the most Big Nine Most Valuable Player for basketball. Selbo played professional basketball for four seasons and minor league professional baseball from 1947 until 1956. He compiled a .316 career batting average.
