JOHN CLARK

In the late 1890’s, John Kirkland Clark was a famed athlete at Yale University. After graduation from Yale, he attended law school at Harvard University. While at Harvard,  he coached the basketball team for two seasons (1901 and 1902) to a 20-13 record.  Clark played independent basketball in New York City for nearly a decade while practicing law. Clark was a longtime York City assistant district attorney . He  investigated and prosecuted many high-profile cases of corruption. He was president of the New York State Board of Law Examiners from 1921 his retirement in 1943.
