The Sarasota franchise transferred to an a team from Ballston, NewYork  on December 10, 1916. Record in Saratoga was 0-6. Ballston dropped out of the league on December 15, 1916.

Both the Saratoga and Balston teams played home games at the Olympian Hall in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The Bridgeport franchise was inactive during second half of season. Players were loaned to other teams: Eddie White (Hoboken), Stretch Harvey (Jersey City), Walt Swenson (Jersey City) and Johnny Beckman (Newark Turners). The  returned from second-half teams to represent Bridgeport in the playoffs. In addition, Joe Dryfus (Newark Turners) was signed for playoffs.

Home games were played at Colonial Hall in Bridgeport.

During the 1916-17 Interstate Basketball League season, three different team played under the the New York banner. The Cathedral Separate Five represented New York in the first half of the season and posted a 1-16 record.  The Cathedral Separate Five played home games  at Webster Hall in Manhattan.  At the beginning of the second half, the Manhattan All-Stars  took over the schedule,  but after posting a 1-10 record gave up the franchise.  The Manhattan All-stars played home games at the Manhattan Casino. The Yonkers Company G team, led by player-coach Dave Wassmer, filled out the final seven games of the season with a 1-6 record.
