STATISTICS & HISTORY
In 1945, Darrell Lorance led Conway High School to the Missouri State High School Basketball Championship. Lorance was recruited by Hall of Fame coach Adolph Rupp to play at the University of Kentucky. After just one season, Lorance transferred to the University of Missouri and then turned professional the following season with the Springfield team in the short-lived Professional Basketball League of America. During the 1948-49 season, Lorance was the fifth leading scorer in the Southern Professional Basketball League.
