Coaches

During the first three decades of professional basketball, the person in charge of the team was referred to as the manager. The person with the title of manager was usually the owner or business manager of the club. Sometimes the manager also coached the team, but more often than not the normal duties of a coach  were handled by the team captain. For the purposes of this register,  the  coach  is designated as the person that made substitution and strategy decisions during the game. Each ambiguous situation is judged according to its specific circumstances.
