JIMMY GORDON

STATISTICS & HISTORY

Jimmy Gordon played professional basketball for twelve seasons. He played in the majors for portions of five seasons, but the majority of his career took place in New Jersey where he starred  on  powerful independent teams such as the Newark Temple B’Nai and the Newark Hebrew Club. In 1933, when Newark acquired a franchise in the American Basketball League, Gordon, who was immensely popular in his home town, was one of the first players signed.
