Rudolph “Swede” Hagberg was a football and basetball star at the University West Virginia. After graduation, Hagberg played professional football for two seasons. The second year he played football in Brooklyn. While in the the city, he also made his sole appearance in a professional basketball game, with a brief appearance in the lineup of the famed Brooklyn Visition in an American Basketball League game.
