TONY KRYGIER

Tony Krygier was a a a star basketball player at Newtown High School in Queens, New York City. Krygier played professional basketball for over a decade. He served in the US. Coast Guard, stationed in Brooklyn,  during World War II. During this time, he  played over 40 games a year for the Brooklyn Coast Guard Station,against some of the top ranked college teams in the metropolitan New York area, such as Columbia, LIU and Seton Hall. In addition, he continued to play professionally for the Trenton Tigers in the American basketball League.
