STATISTICS & HISTORY
Eddie Keaney played organized basketball for over a decade including prep school, college, independent and professional basketball, but not in the sequence you might imagine. When he was just fifteen years old, Kearney was the captain of the Pittston Orioles who compiled a 32-2 record and won the 1915 Pennsylvania “second class” state independent championhip. The next two seasons, Kearney played professional basketball in the Intercounty League and Pennsylvania State basketball League. In 1917, Keaney entered Wyoming Seminary, a Methodist college he preparatory school in Kingston Pennsylvania. In 1920, Kearney enrolled at Lafayette College where he starred on the football and basketball team.
