Wilham “Binker” Brett was a a scholastic sports star at Pittsfield, Massachusetts High SChool. He briefly played professional basketball before he was recruited to attend the University of Detroit by head football coach, Jim Duffy, a native of Pittsfield. Brett captained both the football and basketball teams at Detroit. Brett remained in Detroit after graduation, where he became a high-profile prosecutor in the District Attorney’s office.
