FRANK GILHOOLEY

Frank Gilhooley was a star high school baseball and basketball player at Catholic Central in Toledo. Gilhooley went on to Notre Dame University where lettered  both sports. Gilhooley played professional basketball for seven seasons with the Toledo Jeeps, an independent team that  served as a foil for the Harlem Globetrotters.  Gilhooleys’s father, Frank Sr.,  played professional baseball for twenty seasons including six with the New York Yankees. Frank Jr. never played professional baseball, but was the long-time  voice of the Toledo Mud Hens American Association baseball team. .
