George Boone was one of the best all around athletes in Camden, New.Jersey throughout the 1920’s. He was outstanding semi-professional basketball and baseball player throughout the decade. Boone starred for the Camden Holy Name C.C. , a team that dominated independent basketball in Camden during the early 1920’s. Boone finished as the number two and then leading scorer during two seasons in the minor-league, South Jersey Basketball League.
