Roy Roosey was Detroit’s most celebrated and popular basketball figure for over two decades . Boosey started playing basketball at the turn of the century and remained active through 1926. He led The Detroit Rayls and Detroit Arrows to State and Central District AAU championships. In different phases of his career, Boosey starred at the forward, center and guard positions.
