STATISTICS & HISTORY
Stanley “Stash” Wrobewski was a basketball star at the University of Pittsburgh. Following graduation in 1928, Wrobewski joined the Goodyear Tire Company in Akron, Ohio. He played professional basketball for the company-sponsored team for five years, and remained employed by Goodyear until his death in 1967. Wrobleski was recruited by the company for his basketball talents, but he used the opportunity as a launching pad for him to rise into the upper management of the company during his 39 year career.
