PATERSON - 1927-1928
In the first game of the season, Paterson defeated Hudson 24-17. Hudson protested the game because of the presence of Johnny Beckman in the Paterson lineup. Because Beckman was under contract to the Detroit team in the American Basketball League, the league upheld the protest and awarded the disputed game to Hudson. Paterson dropped out of the league the next day.
