KEN GUNNING

Ken Gunning was a multi-sport high school star in Shelbyville, Indiana. He attend the University of Indiana were he lettered in  basketball, baseball and track. He led the basketball team in scoring for three seasons. After one season of professional basketball, Gunning was hired as head basketball coach at Western New Mexico University  were he remained from 1938 through 1948 with a break for service in World War II. He also coached  Wichita State University from 1948 until 1951. Gunning returned to Indiana where he coached  at Connersville High School for nine years.
