In the mid-1920’s, Victor Till was a standout player on the George Washington High School basketball team, one of the best scholastic teams in New York City. After graduation from high school, Till attracted the attention of  professional basketball teams because of his 6 foot 7 inch height, but his skills were  limited and his major league career consisted of  just one late season game in the American Basketball League.  Till attained much more success  as  a stock broker with the Charles D. Smith Company. Later, Till moved to Florida  he  he became a real estate developer and gained considerable renown as a yachtsman and sport fisherman.
